My Mother referred J&C Plumbing to me, because she has used them on more than one occasion, and has always been completely satisfied with their service.She had stumbled upon their business while looking for a new plumber to replace the one that she had used for 20-plus years, who had recently retired. She was specifically looking for a company with a similar old-school business ethic, who would fully guarantee and warranty their workmanship, and now that I have experience with them myself, I can say that she chose well.This morning, Stephen came to my house in North Bergen on a service call to diagnose, and possibly repair my kitchen faucet. Ever since the big snow that we had a few weeks ago, the water pressure coming out of it had suddenly slowed to a trickle, and the hot water tap was putting out lukewarm water.I initially thought the water pipes had partially frozen, so I had turned up the heat and waited for them to thaw out. The water pressure was bad enough that I had been washing my dishes in the bathroom sink, which was unaffected.During the service call, Stephen patiently took time to listen to my explanation in detail before he began inspecting the faucet, and was able to come up with the cause in less than 15 minutes! He not only took the time to explain to me exactly what had caused the water flow blockage, but he also gave me tips to prevent the problem from reoccurring!On top of everything, he gave me a price hookup because of the referral, and the fact that the problem didn't really require him to perform much labor in order to solve it. The least I can do in return for him today, is write this glowing review.To everyone reading this who is looking for a plumber in Northeast NJ, I hope this review convinces you to give a small business like J&C a chance, as opposed to just thoughtlessly dialing ROTO ROOTER because it looks like an easier choice. Steve was great! He just left my house after a same day call for service. He was friendly, wore booties and a mask, and got right to the heart of my issue. He took the time to ask questions while analyzing the situation so that he diagnosed it as quickly as possible. He needed a part, which he had on the truck, made the fix, and confirmed it was a success. I have had many contractors and plumbers in my house over the years (I did a renovation after a flood a few years ago) and I say enthusiastically that Steve was one of the nicest, most professional, efficient, and reasonably priced out of them all. The office was also great—super friendly and gave me a good window and a courtesy call. Thanks for a great experience!

We just opened up Tony's Italian Cuisine in Bergenfield NJ. Steven came to our new business and set up all of the plumbing to code. Personable, cleanup after work is done. Work done expertly. Fixed faucet in shower for us. Finding a responsive contractor who actually show up is a rarity these days. Steve from J&C came by as scheduled to quote a small job for me. Not only did he carefully explain what needs to be done but he also wound up giving me a lot of good advice on some of the problems that I inherited from the previous homeowner that were not pointed out in the home inspection report. I would recommend them for plumbing repairs.

There was a large crack in the cast iron pipe that led from our basement into the sewer. It looked like our basement would be filled with waste water at any moment. They removed the old pipe and replaced it with PVC. A job well done and we are satisfied.

I had their services two times, one replace faucet and vanity , the other one repair bathtub faucet. Each time the company responded very quick, the services were done well. Stephen Carmona and his crew were professional, reasonably priced and at my house within minutes! We had a drain back up and flood my basement. The best!!! Our water bill was 6x higher than normal and we found a leak in an unused outdoor closet in our basement. We called the day before New Years Eve and Stephen showed up right away! The woman in the office who answered our call was kind, helpful and respected the urgency. We needed time to figure out finances because it was a bigger project than anticipated. Fast forward to today, Stephen came in and the project seemed to be much bigger than we thought. He had to break through 2 levels of walls but kept all demolition small and reasonable. He constantly communicated what and why he was working on different areas of in the home. All in all, the job was done efficiently, safely and for a reasonable price.It was not easy being surprised by a broken pipe that goes from your basement to your 2nd floor, but Stephen fixed it with ease and professionalism!! Thank you for helping us and dealing with our mess!

Trustworthy Steve, the plumber, provides quality work with expertise. He found parts for faucets that were over 60 years old! Amazing! In my case, there was a mix up with the water shut off and on due to another job being done in my building and Steve was calm and cool and happily agreed to come back the same day to finish the job. Very impressive! The job was successfully completed and the price was right! They provide service that all customers deserve to experience. I highly recommend this outstanding company!

I called J & C to replace my 11 year old hot water tank. Steve was at my house the same day and clearly explained what needed to be done. (It wasn't a simple swap out because new tanks are bigger and where my old tank is located it would be a very tight fit.) The very next day he came with everything to make it work and a short time later we were all set. Quick, clean, and very, very fairly priced. I will never hesitate to call J & C for any of my plumbing question, needs or problems.

J&C were great! We had a sewage back up in our basement. I found them on the internet and called for an emergency service call. They were here within an hour. Stephen did a great job fixing our back up. He also pointed out an underlying problem which will cause us more backups in the future. He was very professional and very good at explaining the problem. I had a major emergency and was getting sewage backing up into my home. The response time was incredible as they told me it would be an hour and they showed up in less than 30 minutes. I have used many plumbers in the past and I never seen one so well equipped. He ran a camera through the pipes and was able to locate a blockage which was then removed. He went on and checked out the line all the way down and to the street to ensure I did not have any other issues. Hands down best plumber I have ever had.

Absolutely amazing. I contacted them and they were able to come and give me an estimate on the same day. Steve showed up on time, was extremely professional and honest and got the job done in short time. I watched him do it and he explained every step as he was performing the fix. Now I have a brand new regulator pressure valve and an expansion tank for the water heater. He even explained to me how to check the expansion tank to make sure it is good, and how to replace it if it ever goes bad. Very good experience and will definitely look to use them in the future.

I first called them for a plumbing emergency. They came quickly and there was not much for them to do so the plumber helped fix it and didn't charge me. I then hired them the next to change some valves. They scheduled it quickly and took care of it. They also followed up the day after to make sure everything was OK. Was having issues with my toilet called J&C they came at the earliest available appointment. Cleaned out the lines for the sewerage.Had great machinery to view the lines with a camera. Replaced the old Toilet with a new Toilet sealed it properly. Clean work. I'm extremely satisfied with the service. Great Job J&C will definitely recommend them. Honest and great price.
